The maximum distance from the longitudinal center of the railcar, to the outermost off-side corner of the swung-out container = 685mm (8'10"). With an inter-track distance of 4500mm (14'9") a QUICK-SWAP container can be loaded/off-loaded in all safety, without impending the free flow of traffic on the adjoining track.

Turntables can be swung-out on either side of the railcar, as long as a 10 meter (30') wide maneuvering yard is available parallel to the track.
